What an adventure thus far! I'll start with the bottom line and ruin the fun.. planning and road trips don't mix. It's better to drive and just see what happens...

Carl and I did just that and we landed ourselves a night at the beautiful Kartner Cave State Park in Arizona, just southeast of Tucson. This place rocks our pants off! We've been privy to jackrabbits eatin cacti fruit, brids of many colors, geckos greeting us each time we sit around the picnic table, and an near empty campground. I showered in silence in a very clean and free facility (no extra shower fees).

The bugs are very interesting here. I don't care for giant beetles that fly into my face, but they seem to like me. It's like a child dreamed up a fancy collection of creatures and colored them brightly.

It's peacful here. We love it.
